It's an elated feeling as I walk out of the workshop here for the final time. The last few weeks have been a mix of short course (Medical First Aid) and workshop time, the latter in order to finish the entire workshop portfolio. My personal deadline was to finish by the end of this week. This was because we now have two weeks of more short courses (one week Advanced Fire Fighting, the other week Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats ), and then either workshop (if not finished) or oral prep for the MCA oral exam to get our 'ticket'. Finishing workshop this week allows me to go straight into oral prep once the short courses are over, with the aim to taking my exam and hopefully getting my ticket before end of July. Thus, it's a good feeling that I have finished workshop in time to make the next stage.
It seems like such a long time since Jan 2010, and I've learned a lot in that time. Feels weird to all suddenly be over in the workshop and on the academic side of the course. Next weekend is the Passing Out Ceremony, and that's crept up quickly too.
I'll upload some of the latest photos on here once I've got them onto the computer...
